If things get complicated

Simple by design. Expert-backed when it matters.

Most applications go from form to registration without you ever speaking to anyone. If an office raises a problem or someone challenges your mark, a qualified IP lawyer steps in.

Your filing fee covers the standard application. Help with objections, oppositions and disputes is quoted and billed separately, only if you need it.

Objections from the office
We prepare and file the response on your behalf.
Oppositions from third parties
If someone opposes your mark, an IP lawyer defends it.
Disputes after registration
Advice and representation if your brand is copied or challenged.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Still unsure? Get in touch.

How much does it cost to register a trademark in Malta?
€450 per Nice class. The price is all-inclusive: it covers the official Malta IPRD registration fee (€115 per class, VAT-exempt), so you make a single payment to Rocketmark and nothing separate to the IPRD. 18% Maltese VAT applies to the professional fee only, not to official office fees.
How much does an EU trademark cost?
€2,250 for up to 2 Nice classes, plus €350 for each additional class. The price covers the official EUIPO fees (VAT-exempt), so you make a single payment to Rocketmark and nothing separate to the EUIPO. The registration covers all 27 EU member states.
Should I register in Malta, the EU, or both?
Register in Malta if you only trade in Malta. Register an EU trademark if you trade, or plan to trade, in other EU countries: one EUIPO registration covers all 27 member states. You can file for both in a single Rocketmark order.
What are Nice classes?
Nice classes are the international system of 45 categories for goods and services that every trademark application must name. Rocketmark recommends classes from your brand name, website and description, and you can adjust the selection before you pay.
Is the clearance check a guarantee that my trademark will be accepted?
No. The preliminary check scores your word mark as high, medium or low eligibility using a dictionary assessment and a search of the EUIPO register. It is indicative guidance, not legal advice, and the IP office makes the final decision.
Who files my application?
An IP lawyer prepares and files your application with the Malta IPRD and/or EUIPO on your behalf. Complex disputes or opposition strategy may still need separate counsel.
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can start the form without an account. After payment you can sign in with a magic link or one-time code to follow your application, and you can also look up a filing with your reference number and application email.
How long does registration take?
Processing times are set by the relevant IP office, not by Rocketmark. After filing you receive status updates through your dashboard as the office progresses your application.
